About Me

I specialize in character design. My passion is the pursuit of breathing new life into the mundane and ordinary. It is my firm belief that even the most common everyday objects or chores in our day-to-day lives can be made interesting if one were to look at them from a different perspective. Both flowers and sports balls can be found in a park, but people do not usually associate them with one another. This type of thinking would lead to the urge to design an ecosystem where some flowers and plants look and act like sports equipment. I believe this is a powerful skill that lets me easily conceptualize new and original ideas, as well as my art skills allowing me to visually bring such ideas to fruition.I am also able to learn other artists’ art styles through observation and practice, allowing me to not only change how my art looks but also allow me to work in tandem with other artists in a team should it be necessary for me to. The ability for me to create unique designs in a unique style and create similar designs in another artist’s art style showcases a versatility that I believe would make me an asset to the team in terms of character design. I would say that having two artists with a similar style could be useful in a lot of cases.I also enjoy the challenge when it comes to character design. My best trait would have to be the drive that I have when someone tells me I would be unable to make a particular idea look appealing. Before I start drawing or designing a character, I always have a basic guideline for what I want to create, but sometimes the result surprises even me. Not knowing the full extent of whatever it is I am about to create is always an enticing thought, and I believe that is part of why I enjoy being an artist.
